Nancy Winslow

Nancy Winslow

A Wellfleet native, Nancy was fortunate to remain in her hometown, raise a family and begin a career working with children and families, as a preschool teacher, mental health clinician and currently Truro Central School’s social worker. Taking to heart her father and grandfather’s belief in community service, Nancy currently serves as a member of the Town of Wellfleet Social and Human Service Committee and the Truro based Dexter Keezer Community Fund. She was also a long-time member of both the Wellfleet Elementary School Committee and the Cape Cod Collaborative.

Nancy has experienced not only the joys of living in a town “where everybody knows your name” but has also witnessed the real struggles that come with living in a community dependent upon a seasonal economy. She believes Wellfleet has earned a well-deserved reputation as a community in which members reach out in times of need to support friends, neighbors and strangers alike. Nancy views The Fleet Fund as another example of community strength and resilience and is honored to be a board member.

Grandparents of six, Nancy and her husband Eric are kept busy raising a granddaughter. They are delighted to have two of their adult children making Wellfleet their permanent home.
